The second episode of Game of Thrones’ fifth season is set to air tonight on HBO and Sky Atlantic, and HBO have released a preview for the episode. There’s a lot to get excited about in this episode, so we thought we’d make a list of the five most notable parts of the trailer, which you’ll find below. Here are five things we can’t wait to see in tonight’s episode!

5: Brienne and Podrick – Game of Thrones Season 5 Episode 2

After she didn’t manage to convince Arya to join her at the end of Season 4, Brienne is still on the hunt to keep her oath and protect the Stark daughters this season. Accompanying her is her lovable squire, Podrick Payne. The trailers show a glimpse of Brienne doing battle with an unknown rider on horseback. Certainly in the past seasons Brienne has shown herself to be  one of the greatest fighters in Westeros, and regardless of who she’s fighting, we’re just happy to see more of her fighting!

4: Dorne –  Game of Thrones Season 5 Episode 2

One of Seasons 4’s stand out characters was the charismatic Oberyn Martell. Being the first Dornish character to appear in the show it was nice to see a fresh perspective in the world. He was entertaining, witty, and perhaps most importantly, he didn’t like the Lannisters a whole bunch. Sadly however, we didn’t get to see much of Oberyn and his paramour, Ellaria Sand, because he, well, he didn’t wear a helmet.

This season, however, we get to see a lot more of the Dornish characters. The first of which are going to be shown tonight! The trailer shows that not only will Ellaria Sand be making a return, but we will be introduced to Oberyn’s brother, Doran Martell the prince of Dorne. and his bodyguard Areo Hotah. Sufficed to say, none of them look too happy about Oberyn’s death, and Ellaria in particularly looks to be plotting something. We’re just as excited as you are to see where this leads us in the coming season.

3: Lannister Family Drama – Game of Thrones Season 5 Episode 2

The Lannister drama has been the centre of some of Game of Thrones ’ most captivating storylines. Season 4 of Game of Thrones practically revolved around the Lannisters, and Seasons 5 looks to be no different. With Tywin shot in the privy and buried shortly after, and Tyrion across the Narrow Sea and on route to see Daenerys this means that only Jaime, Cersei and the bastard king Tommen remain in King’s Landing.

The preview shows Cersei receiving something unsettling in the mail, a threat from someone, a statue of a snake with a Lannister amulet in its mouth. This is almost certainly a threat from Dorne. Cersei is seen threatening to “Burn their cities to the ground if they touch her.”. This is likely in refrence to Cersei and Jaime’s daughter Myrcella who is currently betrothed to Marry in Dorne. We’ve seen before the extent that Cersei will go to to protect her children, and it’s  safe to say that she isn’t in the calmest of moods lately. Could this mean further tensions between the Lannister and the Martells? We don’t know, but this is certainly a storyline to watch this season.

2: Arya! – Game of Thrones Season 5 Episode 2

Easily one of the fan favourite characters in Game of Thrones is Arya Stark. Life hasn’t been too kind to the youngest of the Stark girls, and she’s certainly been through a lot in the last season. Her previous adventures have taken viewers on a  sightseeing tour of some of Westeros’ most interesting locations including the hideout of the Brotherhood Without Banners and the ruined castle of Harrenhall. However, at the end of Season 4, Arya left the chaos and Westeros and took a boat to the city state of Braavos. We’ve already seen Braavos before in one episode when Davos and Stannis briefly visited the Iron Bank. It looks like we’ll get a much more thorough look at the Venice inspired city this season.

The Game of Thrones previe trailer shows Arya arriving at the ominously named House of Black and White. It also mentions that Arya is looking for someone here. Could this mean the return of Arya’s assassin friend Jaqen H’ghar from Season 2? We certainly hope so, although sadly it still looks like there’s no hope for our old friend Syrio Forel returning. Although we certainly hope!

1: Meereen and Dragons! –  Game of Thrones Season 5 Episode 2

Daenerys has come far since Game of Thrones Season 1. Starting out as an ousted princess being sold off to a Dothraki horselord, through cunning diplomacy and with the aid of her loyal fighting force, the Unsullied, she’s worked her way up to becoming the Queen of Meereen. Her rise to power has been fun to watch, and she’s become a fan favourite, but she seems to be slowly losing her grasp on the cities she liberated.

All is not well in Meereen in particular. A rogue militia group opposing Daenerys’ rule called the Brotherhood of the Harpy is causing trouble on the streets on Meereen as they slaughter every Unsullied they see. Not only this, but the Game of Thrones preview shows us that unrest between the former slaves and former slave masters of Meereen is at boiling point. That’s all very good, but we all know what makes Daenerys’ story so interesting. Dragons! The most exciting part of this trailer is that it hints at the return of her out of control dragon Drogon, who’s still on the loose. Daenerys is the Mother of Dragons and the Queen of Meereen, and this season could see her loose everything she’s worked so hard to build over the past years.

The political situation in Meereen seems to be growing more intense by the day, and never have the stakes been higher for anyone in either Westros or Essos. So far this season seems to introducing more and more conflict to an already conflict heavy show. And everywhere we look we can see that the War of the Five Kings may be over, but the world is far from peace. And in a show full of confusion and questions, only one thing is certain. Valar Morghulis: All Men Must Die.

Who doesn’t enjoy listening to a good story. Personally I love reading about the people who inspire me and what it took for them to achieve their success. As I am a bit of a self confessed tech geek I think there is no better way to discover these stories than by reading every day some articles or the newspaper . My bookcases are filled with good tech biographies, they remind me that anyone can be a success. So even if you come from an underprivileged part of society or you aren’t the smartest person in the room we all have a chance to reach the top. The same message shines in my beliefs. All it takes to succeed is a good idea, a little risk and a lot of hard work and any geek can become a success. VENI VIDI VICI .

In the ongoing conflict against the Automaton invasion fleet, the Helldivers 2 players have successfully halted their advance. However, the situation has now reached a tiresome stalemate. Yet again, the machines refuse to take a break from their relentless pursuit of progress, with reports emerging of the Factory Striders being deployed in record-breaking quantities.

There have been reports of alleged machines that were supposedly encountered during Operation Swift Disassembly, which was just the beginning of a larger campaign. However, these accounts should be taken with a grain of salt, as they are unverified and seem to be more on the imaginative side. Factory Striders have gained a reputation as formidable weapons platforms that can produce more Automatons while enduring significant damage. If the machines are able to withstand such a relentless assault, it will be necessary to develop innovative strategies.

Have you come across groups of Factory Striders in Helldivers 2? Which strategies are proving to be the most effective in taking down these armored brutes? The Orbital Railcannon Strike will prove to be a valuable asset in the comments section below.

Todd Howard affirms that the timeline of the Fallout series is coherent and well-constructed

The recent release of Amazon’s adaptation of Fallout has ignited a renewed interest in the series and brought attention to the captivating alternate history that forms its foundation. Fans have expressed concern that the TV show’s events might be at odds with the plot of the Obsidian Entertainment video game New Vegas. Warning: Spoilers ahead for New Vegas and Amazon’s show!

Bethesda Game Studios director Todd Howard and Fallout TV executive producer Jonathan Nolan recently sat down with IGN to discuss the timeline. Howard was taken aback when showrunners Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet presented him with the surprising concept of obliterating Shady Sands, the bustling capital of the New California Republic, in the aftermath of the events in New Vegas. Howard eventually warmed up to the idea: “After discussing it, we realized that this could be a significant story moment that many things hinge upon.”

It seems that they had to make some tough decisions to ensure everything fell into place, but Howard emphasizes the importance of preserving the integrity of the Fallout timeline: “We take great care with the timeline. There seems to be some confusion in certain areas. However, all the events from the previous games, including New Vegas, did occur. We take great caution in that matter. We’re really pushing the limits here, but the explosions occur right after the events of New Vegas.

What are your thoughts on this? Is it up to par? Even though it may not have a significant impact on the overall quality of the games or show, it is comforting to know that those in charge are paying attention. We value your feedback and would love to hear your thoughts in the comments section below.

If you’ve been keeping up with the new Fallout show on Amazon Prime, chances are you’ve been relying on PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium to access and enjoy one of Bethesda’s legendary RPGs. We decided to bypass the highly acclaimed Fallout New Vegas and Fallout 3, opting instead to explore the vast landscapes of West Virginia in Fallout 76. Infamous for its initial reception, Todd Howard’s “Fallout with Friends” has evolved significantly over the past six years. However, does that imply the game is of high quality? Is it worth playing in 2024?

As we ventured out of Vault 76 for the very first time, we were determined to find the answers to those burning questions. Recalling our escapades on the Push Square YouTube channel, we encountered quest-giving NPCs—a feature that was surprisingly absent upon release—awe-inspiring bases built by fellow players—and an abundance of loot that could easily burden us 76 times over.

In the midst of the vast array of open-world online experiences, we found ourselves quite enthralled by the combination of 50s classics playing in the background as we obliterated the heads of ghouls. And to top it off, we were able to enjoy all of this with our friends. Exploring the wasteland in the company of a ragtag band of survivors adds a unique element to Fallout 76, setting it apart from other games in the series. However, does it manage to prevent us from uninstalling and transitioning to one of the mainline entries in the series? To discover more, be sure to watch the complete video!
