Even though not many games are releasing this year on Wii U, the ones that are will be high quality releases that all Wii U owners surely don’t want to miss. Among them is Splatoon, a unique take on the third person shooter genre developed by Nintendo itself.
Earlier this week, the Japanese company confirmed that a beta testing for the game called Splatoon Global Testfire was going to become available this weekend at select dates and times. This disappointed fans of the soon to be release game quite a bit, since the beta is only available for a single hour for three days.
If you’re among those who wasn’t able to try out the game yesterday, you will be happy to know that some gamers have managed to record videos of the Splatoon Global Testfire and share them online. One video has surfaced online a few hours ago, showcasing some of the features of this Global Testfire test and you can find it right at the end of this post.
Splatoon is without a doubt one of the more important releases for Nintendo this year and they Japanese company is making sure to push the game as much as possible. Last month, it’s been confirmed that a Wii U console bundle including Splatoon will be released this May in North America. The bundle not only will include a Wii U console and Splatoon, but also Nintendo Land, one of the more unique Wii U game which utilizes the GamePad’s feature in several interesting ways.
Splatoon will be released later this month, on May 29th, in North America, Japan and Europe. Those who manage to play the Splatoon Global Testfire in Europe will also be able to purchase Splatoon on the eShop with a 10% off its full price.
