The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt, the recently released new entry of the series created by CD Projekt RED, is a truly massive game. The open world setting of the game is filled with things to do and quests to complete so content is definitely not what the game lacks.
Despite the game’s huge amount of content, CD Projekt RED has started offering some free DLC packs for the game which include new items and more. This week’s free DLC packs will also include a new quest, as revealed a few hours ago on the game’s Official Facebook Page.
This week’s free The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt DLC packs will include an alternative look for the sorceress Yennefer of Vengerberg and a new quest, Contract: Missing Miners, which will task players with finding disappeared miners from the small Skellige village.
More free The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt DLC packs will be coming in the next weeks, as CD Projekt RED confirmed that the game will be getting a total of 16 free DLC packs. Details on these packs will be coming every week.
Alongside these free DLC packs, The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt is also going to receive two add-ons called Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine in the future. The two add-ons will expand the game considerably, with the team confirming that it will take 30 hours to complete both. The first add-on, Hearts of Stone will be released sometime during October while Blood and Wine will be released in the first quarter of 2016 on all formats. Those who want to get both expansions and spend less have the option of purchasing the game’s Expansion Pass, which is also available for all formats.
The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt is now available in all regions on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. A PlayStation 4 and Xbox One patch is going to be released soon in all regions, addressing some issues found in both versions of the game.
