Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition, the new version of the Capcom action game launching next week on consoles and PC in North America and Europe, is going to be released tomorrow officially in Japan and Asian territories, but some lucky gamers have already been able to get their hands on a copy of the game.
Some of these gamers have started streaming the game in the past few hours, with multiple streams and videos now available on Twitch. Most of the streamers are still in the beginning phases of the game so don’t expect to see any advanced gameplay for the new characters just yet. Things will certainly become heated starting tomorrow, when the game finally becomes available officially in Japan and Asia.
Yesterday the Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition official website has been updated with some new details on the game’s DLC. According to the website, Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition will include several quick unlock DLC packs which will allow players to unlock extra difficulty levels, secret characters Super Nero and Super Dante and the color variation costumes without actually playing the game. Another DLC which increases the acquisition rates of Proud Souls and Red Orbs will also be available.
As mentioned above, Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition will include several extra costumes for all characters. A new gameplay video made available earlier this week showcases the color variation costumes, which look unusual for some characters and quite good for others, like Nero with Vergil’s color scheme.
Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition will be released in Japan tomorrow, on June 18th, on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as a physical and digital release. A Limited Edition is also getting released in Japan, including several extra goodies that fans of the series will surely appreciate. The game will be released on June 23rd on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC as a digital only release.
