Fire Emblem Fates, the new entry of the Fire Emblem series known as Fire Emblem If in Japan launching this week on Nintendo 3DS, is going to feature three different story paths. One of them will be available in each respective version with players having the chance to purchase the one not included in their version as DLC. A third story path is also going to be available as DLC.
Today the game’s Official Japanese website has confirmed that the third Fire Emblem Fates story path will be released sometime during July in Japan so we won’t have to wait for too long to know how the story will progress in this unique story path.
Earlier today it’s been confirmed that Fire Emblem Fates will include same-sex marriage. According to what Nintendo said to Polygon, it will be possible to marry the main character created by the players with another character of the same sex in the game.
More details on the Fire Emblem Fates relationship system have emerged online recently thanks to Dengeki magazine. This system was vastly appreciated by fans of Fire Emblem: Awakening so it’s not surprising that it will be back in full force in the new entry of the series.
Fire Emblem Fates will launch in Japan as Fire Emblem If later this week, on June 26th, exclusively on Nintendo 3DS. The game will be available in two different versions called White Kingdom and Black Kingdom, which include a different challenge level, a different second half of the game and more. The two different story paths will also be made available as DLC, alongside a third one that is not available in either version.
Fire Emblem Fates will also be released as two different versions in North America and Europe sometime next year as confirmed during the E3 2015. We will keep you updated on the Western release of the game as soon as more comes in on it so stay tuned for all the latest news.
