Dragon Quest VIII 3DS is going to be a massive game, as all those who have played the original release surely know. Game producer Noriyoshi Fujimoto has revealed this month that the game won’t feature 3D support because it would have required double the memory and it would have been difficult to implement visible enemies on the field with the inclusion of the 3D effect.
While Dragon Quest VIII 3DS has yet to be confirmed for the West, another Dragon Quest game is going to be released this year in North America and Europe. Dragon Quest Heroes is a spin-off of the series developed by Omega Force, the team behind the Dynasty Warriors series, and combines features from the Tecmo Koei classic series with other gameplay elements that have been greatly appreciated by Japanese players.
Dragon Quest VIII 3DS will be released in Japan this August. Unfortunately there are no news on a possible Western release of the game but we will keep you updated on the matter as soon as possible so stay tuned for all the latest news on the latest Dragon Quest series remake.
