The Wii U exclusive third person shooter Splatoon has been receiving plenty of new content in the past few weeks, allowing players to use new weapons, experience new play modes and more. The team has been working very hard to constantly introduce new content to the game and the efforts are definitely paying off, considering how popular the game is.
More Splatoon content is on the way and players won’t have to wait for much longer to be able to experience it. The Official Splatoon Japanese Twitter profile has confirmed a few hours ago that the game’s next big update is going to be released on August 6th. The update has yet to be detailed in full but we already know that it will include tag team matches, private lobbies, more items and more. A few days before the patch launches, the Urchin Underpass map will not be available for online play, meaning that it may be receiving some changes.
Last week the Splatoon co-director Tsubasa Sagakuchi has confirmed that the game’s max level cap might be raised in the future. Mr Sagakuchi and his team have been surprised by how quickly some players reached level 20 in the game’s multiplayer mode and they have acknowledged that these players don’t have much to do in the game as of now. More news on this matter will be coming in the future.
UPDATE: The new Splatoon update will also increase the max level cap. The cap will be raised to Level 50 and to Rank S and S+ in Ranked Battles
Two new Splatoon weapons have been made available last week in all regions. The two weapons are different takes on already available weapons but they still manage to give players more options, expanding the experience as well.
Splatoon is now available in all regions exclusively on Wii U. We will keep you updated on the game’s upcoming big August update as soon as possible so stay tuned for all the latest news.
