Even though Scalebound has been originally revealed last year during E3 2014, we haven’t seen much of the actual game until last month, when an interesting gameplay presentation has been shown during Gamescom 2015. If you want to see more of the upcoming Platinum Games title in action, you will be happy to know that a somewhat new gameplay video has been made available a few minutes ago.
The new Scalebound gameplay video which has been shared by Famitsu on its official YouTube channel, is set in the same area seen in the Gamescom 2015 gameplay presentation and showcases a variety of gameplay features. You can take a look at the video right below.
Last week the Scalebound official Japanese website has been updated. The website now includes some basic details on the game’s world and characters as well as the Gamescom 2015 presentation with Japanese subtitles.
Scalebound is an action role playing game where players will control Drew and explore the world of Draconis. Accompanying Drew during his journey will be the dragon Thuban, who is going to be controlled by the AI. Players, however, will still have some degree of control on the dragon, issuing it orders and more. Coordinating properly with Thuban will allow Drew to take down even the more powerful of enemies. Players will also be able to customize Thuban, alter his appearance and upgrade his abilities by using gems dropped by enemies. Taking care of Thuban is going to be very important in Scalebound, as Drew has a really strong bond with his dragon and he will die if Thuban is killed.
Scalebound will be released next year exclusively on Xbox One. More news on the game will surely be coming soon so stay tuned for all the latest news on the new game directed by Hideki Kamiya.
