Earlier this week publisher XSEED has revealed that The Legend Of Heroes Trails Of Cold Steel is going to be released this holiday season in North America, without saying more about the release of another entry of the series which was supposed to be released this Summer, Trails in the Sky Second Chapter. A few days ago XSEED Localization Specialist Thomas Lipshultz revealed that Trails in the Sky Second Chapter was still planned to release before Trails Of Cold Steel but it seems like thing won’t be going as planned.
A few hours ago XSEED anwered a fan question about the two games release dates on the series official Facebook page, confirming that The Legend Of Heroes Trails Of Cold Steel is going to be released before Trails in the Sky Second Chapter. XSEED has been having trouble with the latter so this reveal is not all that surprising for all fans of the series who are up to date with all of the game’s localization woes.
Earlier this week XSEED has also revealed the The Legend Of Heroes Trails Of Cold Steel Lionheart Edition, a special edition of the game which will include a variety of nice goodies. This special edition of the game will include a copy of the game, an art book featuring art from both the first and the second game, which will launch next year, a pin displaying the emblem of Erebonia and a custom collectible clamshell-type box which will be able to house the first game and the already mentioned second game. The Trails of Cold Steel Lionheart Edition will be available for $49.99 this holiday season in North America.
The Legend Of Heroes Trails Of Cold Steel will be released before the end of the year in North America on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. We will keep you updated on the game’s final release date as well as on the Trails in the Sky Second Chapter release date as soon as possible so stay tuned for all the latest news on the upcoming role playing games developed by Falcom.
