Tales of Zestiria is very close to release now and details on the Western release of the game are coming in daily. The original Japanese PlayStation 3 release has received several DLC costumes for all characters and a few hours ago it’s been confirmed which of these costumes will be released for the European version of the game.
According to the official Tales Of blog, European players will be able to purchase, among other DLC costumes, the Neon Genesis Evangelion and Idolmaster costumes. Previous Tales Of games have received other licensed DLC costumes in Japan but none of them have been released in North America and Europe so the release of the Evangelion and Idolmaster costumes in Europe is a welcome surprise. The costumes have only been confirmed for Europe as of now but there’s a very high chance we will learn more about their North American release next week.
Earlier this week the install sizes of the PlayStation 3 and Steam versions of Tales of Zestiria have been confirmed. All three versions of the game will require 12.1 GB of free storage space, a size that’s much smaller than several other modern games.
Last month new details on the PlayStation 4 and PC versions of Tales of Zestiria have emerged online. Bandai Namco has confirmed that the PS4 version of Tales Of Zestiria will run at 1920 x 1080 resolution and that the PC version will support various resolutions up to 4K. Both versions of the game will also feature several improvements over the PlayStation 3 version such as doubled draw distance, enhanced shadows, anti-aliasing and improved textures and will run at 30 FPS and not 60 FPS like many of the previous entries of the series. Altering the framerate would have had deep consequences on balancing, difficulty and animation so the team decided to keep the 30 FPS framerate of the original PS3 version
Tales Of Zestiria is now available on PlayStation 3 in Japan. The game will be released next week on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC in North America and Europe. More on the Western release of the game will surely come in soon so stay tuned for all the latest news on the next role-playing game from Bandai Namco.
