Mario Tennis Ultra Smash, the upcoming Wii U exclusive game launching next month in North America and Europe, promises to be one of the more interesting sports games launching in the next few weeks thanks to a fun gameplay experience and a lot of interesting features. We still don’t know everything the game will include but more details on the matter have emerged online in the past few hours.
According to a new Mario Tennis Ultra Smash preview shared online by GameXplain, Mario Tennis Ultra Smash is going to come with online multiplayer and amiibo support, which will allow players to unlock additional features by using some of the figures now available in North America and Europe such as having the amiibo as partners. A few new playable characters have also been confirmed, including Rosalina from the Super Mario Galaxy games, Wario and Yoshi. Mario Tennis Ultra Smash is the latest entry of the Mario Tennis series and the first home console entry since the GameCube game Mario Power Tennis. The new entry of the series will not play all that differently from previous games, with the return of chance shots, originally introduced in Mario Tennis Open, and a few new features such as the Mega Mushrooms that allow characters to grow in size and obtain an advantage and the Jumpshot. Alongside single player mode, Mario Tennis Ultra Smash will also features a multiplayer mode which will make the game even more fun. As mentioned above, Mario Tennis Ultra Smash will also feature online multiplayer, something that will surely extend the title’s life considerably.
