Right before last week’s Nintendo Direct, it was rumored that a Minecraft Wii U Edition was going to be revealed during the presentation. This new version of the popular game developed by Mojang has been revealed by PEGI, with a rating for the game surfacing on its website. Unfortunately the game hasn’t been revealed during the Nintendo Direct and something that has happened seems to suggest the rating wasn’t suppose to emerge.
A few hours ago reddit user NintendoGamer1997 has found out that the Minecraft Wii U Edition rating is no longer listed on PEGI’s website. At this point it’s hard to say why the rating has been removed and if Minecraft Wii U does really exist but we will let you know about the matter as soon as more comes in on it.
Even though Minecraft is not available on Nintendo consoles, the popular game is available on other home and handheld consoles – PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. While the console versions of Minecraft don’t yet include all the features available in the PC version, they’re constantly getting updated with new content such as holiday themed skins like the Halloween 2015 skins, the Star Wars Prequel Skin Pack, the Halo Mash-up skins which have been recently updated following the release of Halo 5 Guardians and much more. Minecraft is also available on iOS and Android devices but the smartphones version also lacks features found in the PC version just like the console releases.
Minecraft is now available on a variety of formats including PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and smartphones. More on the potential Wii U release of the game is going to be coming soon and we will keep you updated on the matter as soon as possible so stay tuned for all the latest news.
