Unfortunately, Naughty Dog seems to have absolutely no plans for any sort of announcement during the gaming gala.

Naughty Dog made this announcement a short time ago on their Twitter account. They certainly are looking forward to the event but are not going to make any sort of announcement yet. However, they also make clear that people will definitely get an announcement of the game for “When the time is right”.

As such, The Last of Us: Part II will definitely be absent from the Game Awards 2018. Another game that will be absent from the celebration will be Cyberpunk 2077. However, the loss isn’t that bad as there are high expectations when it comes to announcements thanks to the reassurance of the show’s host Geoff Keighley.
