Dishonored 2 was certainly a good game when it released last November. (Minus some haphazard story issues.) The gameplay was fantastic and offered much replayability. Now five months later, Arkane Studios and Bethesda have announced a Dishonored 2 free trial (read: glorified demo). Whoever hasn’t yet dived into the world of Karnaca, you’ll be able to play the first three story missions of the campaign. Of course, the choice to play as either Empress Emily Kaldwin or Corvo Attano will be available.
The Dishonored 2 trial will be downloadable from the PSN Store, Xbox Marketplace, and Steam on April 6th. Like many other demos before it, if you decide to purchase the full game all your saves will be carried over from the trial. So you’ll be able to continue from where you left off. Although we’d be remiss not to tell you (our lovely and awesome readers) that Dishonored 2 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 is currently sitting in the thirties on Amazon.
If this is your first time hearing about Dishonored 2, then we got you covered. The sequel takes place after Corvo rescued his daughter after she was kidnapped and her mother murdered. A new player appears in the form of Delilah (the deceased mother’s sister) and takes over the Empire’s crown, freezes the hero you don’t select, and locks the other one away. Also, that happened in a span of five minutes. Pacing really isn’t important here. As Corvo or Emily, it’s your job to find out how Delilah came to be in power and avenge this transgression.
Have you played Dishonored 2 yet? Do you plan on trying the Dishonored 2 trial? Let us know your thoughts!
