Those in tune with the gaming community will probably remember the recent partnership with Twitch and Amazon. For those not in the know, an Amazon Prime membership (which many of us already have) now gives you several perks on the popular streaming site, Twitch. Alongside the main benefit, which is a free subscription to the streamer of your choice, there are rotating monthly benefits from activating Twitch Prime. Right now, the benefits for Twitch prime members are for the still exceedingly popular MMO, runescape.

Jagex, publisher of Runescape, is giving Twitch Prime users an entire free month of subscription time. Though Runescape is available to play for completely free, like many free games a lot of the content is gated behind a subscription. Many of the skills, a core part of the Runescape gameplay and experience, are gated behind a subscription. The free month of playtime for Runescape available from Twitch Prime will allow both new and returning players to experience everything the game has to offer without restrictions for a full month.

This free month will definitely work in Jagex’s favor in the long run, as many veteran Runescape players will be sucked in and those who are unaware of the iconic MMO but still a subscriber on Twitch may be exposed to an experience they’ll want to keep paying for after the initial free month.

In addition to the free month of Runescape subscription, Twitch Prime subscribers will receive an exclusive legendary pet, a pack of 15 treasure hunter keys, and 200 cash-shop currency. These rewards also means that players will have access to Old School Runescape for a month too, a service that has thrived due to the nostalgia and affection for the original design of the game. With the option to enjoy both experiences that Runescape has to offer, players may be able to discover a new MMO with no monetary risk involved at all.

In order to take advantage of this opportunity, simply follow the instructions on Twitch to link your Twitch and Amazon Prime accounts. With a new Twitch Prime subscription, you’ll be ready to both support your favorite streamer and re-immerse yourself in one of the most iconic online games of our generation.
