It’s no secret at this point that Apple will be unveiling the new lineup of iPhones next month, following up last year’s iPhone X. While there’s been plenty of speculation regarding what changes the company will be making to the device, it won’t be much longer until we know for sure. Now, thanks to a retailer leak, it looks like we know when we’ll be able to get our hands on the device.
Thanks to new information from MacRumors, we have apparently have a date for both pre-orders and launch of the new devices. They claim that the pre-orders will open on September 13th, with the devices themselves launching shortly after on September 20th. Considering patterns of the past and the quality of the source, it seems very likely that this will end up being true.
Buzz around this new lineup of iPhones has been quieter than usual, though that is likely due to the fact that big changes aren’t expected to happen this time around. Things like camera improvements are sure to entice some, but it is actually what the company has in store for 2020 that has people more excited. That will be the year that 5G will be available for the device, as well as a vastly improved display and more.
As for when we’ll know for sure about the pre-order and launch dates, Apple has set the special reveal event for September 10th at the Steve Jobs Theater.
