With Splatoon launching later this week in all regions, the next big Nintendo game releasing on Wii U is Yoshi’s Woolly World, a new platform game starring Yoshi launching next month in Europe and on a yet to be confirmed date in North America.
The platform game developed by Good-Feel, like all recent Nintendo published games, is going to be compatible with a variety of amiibo figures, which will allow players to unlock content that cannot be unlocked in any other way. A new video published on Nintendo UK Official YouTube channel a few minutes ago details the Yoshi’s Woolly World amiibo exclusive content. Thanks to the figures, players will be able to unlock a variety of different costumes. You can take a look at some of these new costumes by going at the end of this post.
Earlier this month some new details on the development of Yoshi’s Woolly World have emerged online thanks to a new interview. Good-Feel producer Etsunobu Ebisu has revealed that the team did actual knitting during development. This explains why the game looks so good, as the team was able to test their representations in the game with some real life objects.
Yoshi’s Woolly World is going to be released alongside a new amiibo line. The three new amiibos figures of the Yoshi’s Woolly World line are made of actual wool and look quite different from all the other figures released up until now. Just like the other amiibos, the three Yoshi’s Woolly World amiibo figures can be used to unlock content in the game that cannot be unlocked in any other way.
Yoshi’s Woolly World will be released on June 26th in Europe exclusively on Wii U. The game will be released sometime this Summer in Japan and during Fall 2015 in North America.
