Earlier this week we have reported that new details on Fire Emblem If, the new entry of the Fire Emblem series launching this month in Japan exclusively on Nintendo 3DS, would be included in the new issue of the Japanese magazine Famitsu.
A few hours ago the scans from the magazine have surfaced and Kantopia has translated them in English, allowing Western fans of the game to learn more about the My Castle feature, which will allow players to build their own base. The scan also includes some details on characters and more. You can find the new scans by going at the end of this post.
Yesterday a new Fire Emblem If trailer has surfaced online. The trailer focuses on some of the game’s new features as well as on characters from both the White and Black Kingdoms, on the impact choices will have during the story and more.
For the first time ever, the new entry of the Fire Emblem series is going to be released in two different variants, coming with different characters and maps in the second half of the game. While the other story path isn’t included in physical copies of the game, it’s still possible to play through it by purchasing it as DLC. To facilitate the process, Nintendo will release a Fire Emblem If prepaid card with the value of 2000 yen, which is the cost of the game’s DLC story paths. A third path not included in either version is also going to be released as DLC.
Fire Emblem If will be released in Japan on June 26th as Fire Emblem If: White Kingdom and Fire Emblem If: Black Kingdom. The two versions of the game sport a different challenge level, different story sequences and characters, different maps and more.
Fire Emblem If will also be released in North America and Europe on a yet to be confirmed release date. If you haven’t been following all the latest news on Fire Emblem If, you can learn everything there is to know about the game by going here.
