The third person shooter game Splatoon, now available in all regions exclusively on Wii U, has been receiving new content regularly and another update is going to become available for the game later this week. This new Splatoon update is going to come with plenty of tweaks and fixes as well as some brand new features such as a new maximum level cap for the multiplayer mode, map tweaks and much more.
The new Splatoon update is going to be released on August 6th but it seems like we will learn more about it thanks to the next issue of the Japanese magazine Famitsu, which will hit Japanese stands on the same day the update gets released in all regions. However Famitsu is usually leaked online before the official release day so we will learn more about the matter very soon. You can check out a low quality preview of this week’s coverage right below.
As stated above, the new Splatoon update is going to include plenty of new features such as tag team matched, private lobbies, new items, the new max level cap, rank S and S+ in Ranked Battles and much more.
Splatoon has been originally revealed around a year ago during E3 2014. The game is a team based third person shooter where players control Inklings, unique characters who have the ability to change between human and squid forms. In human form Inklings can shoot colored ink all around the environment while they can swim through ink of their own color while in squid form. The team that manages to color most of the stage with their own color wins.
Splatoon is now available in all regions exclusively on Wii U. We will keep you updated on the game’s upcoming big update as soon as possible so stay tuned for all the latest news on Nintendo’s successful third person shooter.
