The Witcher 3 has received plenty of patches in the past weeks addressing several issues plaguing the game on all formats. While most major issues have been fixed, there are still some that require fixing like the Steam achievements issues, the Skellige Most Wanted quest issue which prevents players from completing it and a few more. One of these issues is finally getting fixed today.
Earlier today CD Projekt RED Community Manager Marcin Momot has confirmed that the Steam achievements hotfix is going to be made available later today. This fix should finally allow players playing the Steam version of the game to obtain achievements correctly. There are still no news on the Skellige Most Wanted hotfix that’s been revealed a few days ago, but we will surely hear more about the matter soon.
Yesterday it has been revealed that the Triss romance tweaks will be introduced to the game with the next patch. These tweaks will make the Triss romance option more rewarding, as it’s currently somewhat underwhelming, especially when compared to the Yennefer romance option. We will let you know more about the next patch as soon as more comes in on it.
The first The Witcher 3 expansion will be released next month on all formats. The Hearts of Stone expansion will be set in Oxenfurt and it will be around 10 hours long. Yesterday, it was also confirmed that it will be possible to play the expansion in New Game Plus Mode. The second expansion, Wine and Blood, will be released next year.
The Witcher 3 is now available in all regions on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. We will keep you updated on the game’s future patches and the two expansions as soon as possible, so stay tuned for all the latest news on the excellent role playing game by CD Projekt RED.
