The Witcher 3

A few weeks ago The Witcher 3 has finally received mod support and fans of the game have released several mods which try to enhance the game in several different ways. Among the mods released recently for the CD Projekt RED role playing game is a nice lightning mod which tweaks the lightning to make the game look even better. The mod has unfortunately been released in a not optimal state due to a variety of issues that cannot be fixed properly without better tools but this doesn’t mean that work has been halted forever, as a new update for the Super Turbo Lightning Mod has been made available a few hours ago.

The Witcher 3 Super Turbo Ligthning Mod new update comes with slightly better AO, slightly darker nights and more. You can learn more about the mod and download it by going here.

Last week CD Projekt RED has revealed that The Witcher 3 Hearts of Stone expansion will be released in all regions and on all formats on October 13th. The expansion is also going to receive a retail release featuring a download code for the expansion and the Monsters and Scoiat’el Gwent decks. Earlier this week it’s been confirmed that the Gwent decks purchased through the Redeem Gwent website are going to be in English, while those included in the retail version will be localized.

Not much is currently known about the Hearts of Stone plot but some details have emerged online recently. According to the leaked dialogue extracted from the latest patch, Geralt may suffer permanent consequences during the events of the expansion, as he asks Triss, Yennefer and Ciri to remove a mark on his body, a mark they are not powerful enough to remove.

The Witcher 3 is now available in all regions on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The Witcher 3 Hearts of Stone expansion will be released on October 13th on all formats. We will keep you updated on the expansion and upcoming new patch as soon as possible so stay tuned for all the latest news on CD Projekt RED’s excellent role-playing game.

High on Life gets its first major paid DLC next week. From October 3, you can experience High on Knife. The offering was announced by a strange claymation trailer, and while you can still expect a silly experience, the developers wanted to make it spooky.

Announcing the DLC, Squanch Games CEO Mike Fridley said: “High On Knife is still hilarious and weird, but we’re getting spooky. Maybe not ‘I may never sleep again’ terror, but ‘my dreams are going to be broken for a while’. Imagine body horror, but your horrible body gets worse. We need your trust for now.”

Consider our curiosity piqued. Would you have bought High on Life for PlayStation or played it before? Any thoughts on High on Knife? Are you considering another serving?

After an alleged data breach this week, Google Trends registered a 277% increase in “delete PlayStation account” searches. Ransomware group claimed to have “successfully compromised all of Sony’s systems” and sold stolen data. The Japanese giant says it’s investigating.

Despite no leak confirmation, search data suggests many gamers are eager to close their accounts in the aftermath. A 277% increase in search traffic is alarming, but we don’t know how many queries it represents.

Sony was hit hard over a decade ago when a PSN data breach took down its online network. This led the company to offer free security and several games as compensation. Naturally, it increased behind-the-scenes security.
