One of the best announcements that has come during last week’s Tokyo Game Show 2015 is the reveal of Gravity Rush 2, the sequel to the unique third person game originally released on PlayStation Vita a few years ago. Even though it has been known for some time that the game was in development, finally knowing more about it was definitely welcome. And today we have learned more on the game thanks to the newly opened Gravity Rush 2 Official Japanese website.
The Gravity Rush 2 Official Japanese website includes some new screenshots as well as some new details on the story. Apparently Kat, Raven and the police officer Syd will be sucked into a dimensional whirpool during the investigation of an incident which happened in the city of Hekseville. Following the event, Kat is separated Dusty, losing her special powers, and she is forced to work in the mines of Banga Village. One day Kat and Syd discover a new type of Nevi in the mines, a discovery that will set the events of the new game in motion.
Alongside Gravity Rush 2, Sony has also confirmed that the original Gravity Rush is going to be released on PlayStation 4 as Gravity Rush Remastered. The new version of the game will come with all the content of the original PlayStation Vita release, including all the DLC packs released for it. Last week Sony has also revealed the Gravity Rush Remastered Collector’s Edition, which has been made available for pre-order on Amazon Japan following the announcement.
Gravity Rush 2 will be released next year in all regions exclusively on PlayStation 4. Gravity Rush Remastered is also going to be released on PlayStation 4 next year, during February. We will keep you updated on both games as soon as more comes in on them so stay tuned for all the latest news.
