Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition PS4 file download size

The popular Tales of Vesperia will finally be making its way to PS4 via the upcoming definitive edition, and now the game’s download file size has been revealed. The game’s product page on the PlayStation Store reveals that the download file size is 22.8 GB, which isn’t bad when compared to most file sizes today.

While it may seem on the smaller side considering it’s a lengthy JRPG, the fact that it originally came out 10 years ago explains it. While the visuals have been updated and there are a handful of bonus features, the majority of the game’s content is exactly as it was a decade ago.

The following is a breakdown of the product taken from the official Amazon page:

“A BELOVED TALE RETURNS! — The tale of a young hero on a quest for justice that captivated Tales fans returns to Xbox and makes its way for the first time to PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam!

EVERYTHING IN ONE EDITION! — Dive into the Definitive version of this game with updated full HD graphics, brand-new music tracks, exciting mini-games, bosses, and a collection of unreleased costume DLC!

THE PARTY GROWS STRONGER! — Yuri sets sail on his adventure with Estelle, a young noblewoman; Karol; a boy in pursuit of a guild to call his own; Rita, an eccentric scholar; Raven, a laid-back archer; Judith, a mysterious dragoon; and Repede, a pipe-smoking dog… and now two more playable characters join the fray!

FIGHT WITH FLAIR! — Assemble your favorite team and enjoy exciting real-time battles with all new Mystic Artes and skills!”

Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition will launch on January 11th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch.

Firaxis, the strategy game studio behind XCOM (the reboots) and Civilization, laid off employees. According to Axios, 30 Take-Two Interactive-owned and 2K Games-published employees were laid off.

After a streak of hits (XCOM 2, Civ 6), the studio’s most recent release, the XCOM-inspired, card-powered Marvel’s Midnight Suns, was a critical hit but a commercial disaster.

The Marvel IP didn’t attract core gamers to strategic games. This is unfortunate because local critics virtually all agree Midnight Suns is great and made by a renowned company. How could it be anything else when directed by Jake Solomon, the most imaginative strategic mind among Sid “The Father of Computer Gaming” Meir’s personally mentored acolytes and true successor to a legacy as old as the medium?

Metal Gear Delta: Snake Eater will reuse the original voice lines, which isn’t surprising as the original voice cast is returning.

Tommy Williams, Konami America’s chief of communications, verified the story for the Verge. We’re sure David Hayter has the most work, but reuniting the gang wasn’t simple.

He also confirmed that the title triangle is pronounced “delta.” In mathematics, the fourth letter of the ancient Greek alphabet represents change without modifying structure.

Kojima wasn’t involved with the project. Do you like this tribute? Do you prefer modern script or antique lines?

Indie games are sold through Devolver Digital, the industry’s most colorful and eccentric publisher. Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest will host a fresh showcase on June 8 at 3 p.m. PT or 11 p.m. BST. Devolver Digital’s odd metanarrative format will make things unpleasant.

If you’re unfamiliar, we recommend going alone. Games will exist—likely well-curated ones. Last year’s screening introduced us to the adorable Aussie indie Cult of the Lamb, which became a cult smash.

Will you stream Devolver? Expect what?
