Now. the Core i9 lineup includes processors of 10,12,14,16 and 18 cores with twice as many threads. With prices that range from $999 to $1999. With the Core i9 7900X having detailed specifications. First off, like mentioned before. The processor will have 10 cores and 20 threads, 13.75MB in cache memory and a frequency of 3.3GHz, with boost clocks of 4.3Ghz and 4.5 Ghz and support for quad-channel DDR4-2666 memory.
All the Core i9 CPU’s will also be part of Intel’s new X series. The moniker serves to distinguish their High-End Desktop (HEDT) capabilities, it also means that we’ll see improved versions of Core i5 and i7 processors, like the Core i5-7640X with 4 cores and 4 threads, base frequency of 4.0 GHz and Boost clock speed of 4.5Ghz with 6MB in cache memory and with a cost of $242 dollars. Or the Intel Core i7-7740X with 4 cores, 8 threads, base frequency of 4.3 Ghz and Boost clock speed of 4.5GHz, 8 MB in cache memory and with a cost of $339 Dollars.
As a final point, Intel announced that the new processors will be available in the next few weeks. In any case, the purpose behind these new processors is to satisfy the needs of professional users that need the performance to perform heavy-duty multitasking and activities such as Streaming, Video Production and Gaming. With the top-end of these being able to do these tasks at 4K resolution.
Helldivers 2 proved to be a surprising success, highlighting the unpredictable nature of the gaming industry. As per Circana analyst Mat Piscatella, it currently ranks as Sony’s seventh highest grossing game in the United States to date, trailing behind a trio of Spider-Man titles, a couple of God of War games, and Ghost of Tsushima.
