This year has been a good one for fans of the Monster Hunter series all over the world. Back in February the latest entry of the series, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, has finally been released in North America and Europe and a brand new entry of the franchise, Monster Hunter X, has been announced for Nintendo 3DS not too long ago. However it seems like there might be more coming for the series, as teased earlier today.
A few hours ago the Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate Official Twitter profile has confirmed that a new livestream for the series called Monster Hunter 2015 Summer Special is going to be aired on Nico Nico on July 16th from 8:00 PM Japan Time. The tweet announcing the livestream is also teasing a possible announcement, which is most likely related to the already mentioned Monster Hunter X.
Earlier this month a new batch of Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate free DLC packs has been revealed. This month’s DLC batch includes some cross-over content from Universal Studios Japan, new quests given by characters taken from previous entries of the series and some powerful new items. A trailer has also been made available, showcasing the new content created for the game.
The next main entry of the series currently in development by Capcom is Monster Hunter X. The new game will come with a few changes in the gameplay formula that will make it feel incredibly fresh such as new super actions, new weapons, new special moves and more. Not much more is currently known about the game but more will surely emerge on it soon.
Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is now available in all regions exclusively on Nintendo 3DS. We will keep you updated on Monster Hunter X as soon as more gameplay details become available so stay tuned to learn more about the next entry of the series and its release date for all regions.
