Fallout 4 Is “Basically Done”, Team Now Focused On Polishing

Fallout 4, the new entry of the series developed by Bethesda launching later this year in all regions on consoles and PC, has been rumored to be in development for quite some time. The game has only been revealed officially last month during Bethesda E3 conference and many though that the game wouldn’t be released this year. The team, however, later confirmed that the game will indeed be released this year, as development was quite far ahead at the time of the announcement.

As of now, development on Fallout 4 is “basically done”, according to marketing executive Pete Hines. In a new interview with GameSpot, Mr. Hines confirmed that it’s now too late to implement fan requested features as the team is fully focused on bug fixing and polishing.

“Let’s be honest, it doesn’t matter what anybody wants for a feature in Fallout 4. The game is basically done. It was by and large done before we announced it, in terms of the features going in. You’re not adding new features in May, June, July in the year you’re releasing; you’re trying to get everything fixed.”

Fallout 4 is going to receive a lot of different special editions which will include some nice goodies that won’t be available in any other way. A really interesting bundle, called the Fallout 4 Nuke Pack, has been revealed a few days ago, including a copy of the game, a steelbook, a 37 x 10″ Fallout 4 print, a Vaultboy Mini Bobblehead and a Fallout 4 lunchbox. This Nuke Pack has been confirmed as an EB Games Australia exclusive and we have no idea if it’s going to be made available in any other region.

Another special Fallout 4 bundle has been revealed last week. The Fallout 4 Mighty Bundle, which will be exclusive to the New Zealand retailer Mighty Ape, will include a copy of the game, the Fallout 4 franchise book which details the history of the franchise and also includes high quality images and a Fallout Vault Boy Pop! Vinil Figure. There are no news on the release of this bundle outside New Zealand as of now but we will keep you updated if anything changes.

Fallout 4 will be released will be released this November on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. More news on the game will be coming soon so stay tuned for all the latest news on Bethesda’s new role playing game.
