Ten amazing Linux games you can play without WINE

Ten amazing Linux games you can play without WINE

Civilization VI

“Just one more turn” the mantra of just about anybody who has fallen prey to the addictive powers of the civilization series. Civ VI is the latest installment in this iconic franchise and it is a huge step forward for the series with some pretty major changes designed to streamline the game.

It adds a whole host of new features that will keep any veteran civ player interested, it adds significantly more depth and feels like a completed game rather than a framework upon which to build one. The game was released with native Linux support, which is great.

Despite the negative criticism from some of the user-base, I feel that Civ VI is worth a look-in.

Most Valve Games

Since Steam OS is a valve invention, it is not surprising that were one of the first to port their games over to SteamOS. If you log into steam you can buy, or even play for free, a huge number of valves awesome games.

This includes gems like Portal 2, team fortress 2, DOTA 2 and a lot of Valves best games can now be found natively on Linux and I imagine anything they release in the future will be as well.

You'll find me wandering around the Science sections mostly, excitedly waving my arms around while jumping up and down about the latest science and tech news. I am also occasionally found in the gaming section, trying to convince everyone else that linux is the future of the computer gaming.
