After a tiring week of work we always wait for that moment of the weekend when, we can sit back on our couch and just relax. And we all know that music is beneficial for our state of mind, so why not choose the perfect song. For this weekend I picked for you a small dose of laziness with the song Lazy from Deep Purple.
Deep Purple, one of the oldest and greatest bands from the Rock’n’roll music scene, even if they might not be as well known as Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd, they sure as hell deserve a spot in the Rock’n’roll Hall of Fame. Deep Purple made their debut with Shades of Deep Purple in 1968 and they continued their legacy ever since. They are considered to be the “unholy trinity of British hard rock and heavy metal in the early to mid-Seventies” alongside Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath.
The song Lazy is from the “Machine Head” album, their 6th one and one of their most successful album, at least commercially speaking. The album was so great that Eagle Rock Entertainment decided to release in 2012 as a 40th anniversary from the albums release the remastered album called ‘Re-Machined: A Tribute to Deep Purple’s Machine Head’. Although Smoke on the Water is the most famous song of the album, I’ve actually chosen Lazy to be song of the weekend.
The song speaks for itself, it is best to just get lazy while listening to this lazy song and enjoy it.
