After two days of releasing teasers for the main cast of heroes, except for Superman, we finally have our first official trailer for the DC superhero team film the Justice League. Director Zack Snyder tweeted out the trailer earlier today with the release date for the film.
The trailer does give some introductions to the newer heroes coming to the DC Extended Universe film such as Cyborg, Aquaman and the Flash. We also get a good look at some of their powers and abilities in action which is something we have not seen much of until this point. There appear to be shots involving the history of these characters which may serve as their origins and a short clip of an all-out war sequence. The trailer also shows that this will have more humor compared to earlier films in the franchise. One of the more humorous moments being when the Flash asks Bruce Wayne what his superpowers are to which he replies, “I’m rich.”
Unfortunately we get no footage of the Man of Steel although we do see Amy Adam’s Lois Lane for a quick moment.
Justice League will follow the events of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Bruce Wayne must gather a team of extraordinary individuals to defend Earth from an alien invasion of Parademons shown briefly in the previous film. The movie will also be the first of two parts, the latter part already being in development.
Justice League releases Nov. 17, 2017 and stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Mamoa as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg and Ezra Miller as the Flash.
