2. Signal 2.0
Edward Snowden knows that there are many iPhone users out there, too, so he recommended Signal for you guys. Signal is an application from Open Whisper Systems, who are renowned for their end to end encryption options. Signal is a messaging service that would replace iMessage, Hangouts or WhatsApp with an app that offers end to end encryption for each and every one of your messages. It’s an easy to use application which is fully compatible with the Android application called RedPhone, offering the same type of encryption. With the app, you can also call people if they have Signal installed, otherwise the conversation won’t be encrypted. It’s overall a very good app that has many positive reviews, so it’s pretty understandable why Snowden would recommend it. You can get the app for free from the iTunes app store.
