Play From Work: Gadgets To Play With Your Dog Remotely

Play From Work: Gadgets To Play With Your Dog Remotely

Like it or not, we dog owners have to leave our pets at home while we make the trudge to work. It breaks our hearts everyday to see their sad faces as we walk out the door, but they are always excited when we come home. What if there was a way other than quitting your job to allow you to play with your lonely pup? Well, thanks to technology you now can spend your lunch break playing with your furbaby.

Here’s a few fun toys to check out and be ready to upgrade your data plan for them:

GoBone:

gobonedog

GoBone is a smartphone controlled rubber bone. According to the site the bone is customized for your dog based on age, weight and breed. The application to control the toy is IOS and Android compatible. Owners can see via the bone’s camera where the bone goes, preventing any accidental crashes into furniture, expensive items or just plain getting stuck somewhere in the house. The toy has an 8 hour battery life – the length of a normal shift – but don’t get any ideas! This device is available for pre-order for $169

PlayDate:

PlayDate is the world’s first camera in a smart ball. Much like GoBone this device is controlled by an application compatible with IOS and Android. It has been funded by a campaign via indiegogo. Top tier backers are slated to get their devices in July this year.

PetCube Camera:

petcube

Petcube is a web camera device that allows owners to check in on their pets. It also allows owners to video chat their pets, dispense treats, and play with them via a laser pointer. Stars like Emma Watson cited loving this device for her pets. The petcube comes in two style: The Petcube Play which has the laser pointer, and the Petcube Bites which is the treat dispenser. The Play model sells for $179 and the Bites model sells for $249.
