Motorola had announced the press last week that today, it would be sending a mystery box to them containing something new and exciting. Today is the day and at the early cracks of morning, the Motorola Mystery Box has finally unveiled itself. But it’s not that exciting. We were expecting to see a new smart watch, or some neat accessory similar to the Motorola Hint, as the company suggested we would be getting something small in our mail. Not that small, as it turns out.
The Motorola Mystery Box contained the new, second generation Moto E, complete with LTE. We were looking forward to the new budget handset from the company, but we didn’t expect it to be revealed in such an odd fashion. Nonetheless, we like it and thank you Motorola! It’s a unique way of revealing new products and we advise Motorola to continue with the mystery box tradition, because it’s inherently fun.
Motorola just woke me up with the new 4.5-inch Moto E. Now has LTE and a quad-core processor. Going back to bed now! pic.twitter.com/c7gzhYtexG

The new Moto E isn’t much different from the older model, save for the addition of a high-speed 4G LTE antennae. The handset touts a 4.5 inch display with a rather modest qHD resolution, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB internal storage and will most likely be sold for an attractive price. We will get back to you with a full Moto E review later on, once we get to play with the bugger for a while. Stay tuned, as there must be many of you excited about the next generation Motorola Moto E, even if it wasn’t what we expected in the Motorola Mystery Box today. Alas, we will have to wait to see another Moto 360 smart watch to be launched. Probably in the future.
