Star Wars Battlefront, the new entry of the series currently in development by DICE launching this year on consoles and PC, is going to feature a pilotable Millennium Falcon, DICE community manager Mathew Everett confirmed on Reddit.
The DICE community manager has been answering fans’ questions on the game’s dedicated subreddit and has recently revealed some new details on the game’s vehicles, on how they will handle compared to Battlefield 4 and other games developed by DICE and which ones will actually be available in Star Wars Battlefront. Among the ships that will be included in the game, alongside the already confirmed X-Wings and Tie-Fighters, will be the Millennium Falcon. This is really great news, as pretty much every Star Wars fan has dreamed at least once to pilot the iconic spaceship.
On a related note, Methew Everett has also revealed that the team is hoping to bring some new footage of the game at the E3 next month and Gamescom later this year. And we certainly hope they will indeed, since the game is looking more and more interesting with each new detail and reveal.
Earlier this month the Star Wars Battlefront Official Website confirmed that the game will have 12 multiplayer maps at launch. The planet Sullust will be one of the locations of these maps, alongside the aleady confirmed Tatooine, Endor and Hoth. The creation of maps set in Sullust is definitely gone of the bigges challenges for the team, as the planet has never appeared in the movies, only getting mentioned once during Return of the Jedi
Star Wars Battlefront will be released this November in all regions on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. More news on the game will surely come in soon so stay tuned for all the latest updates on DICE’s highly anticipated new game.
