A game that took more than 6 months of my life because of non-stop playing, Path of Exile, is getting a new expansion called Ascendancy. It hasn’t been that long since Grinding Gear Games have rolled out their biggest Path of Exile expansion, The Awakening, they have prepared another one for next year.
The Ascendancy expansion will be free to play as the game itself and it includes a set of 19 possible classes just to make your character a little bit stronger. In order to get access to the new Ascendancy classes you’ll have to complete a dungeon which is called Lord’s Labyrinth, where six challenges will await you. Of course you’ll have to find these six traps first and only by overcoming them you get the access you desire.
Some of the classes that will be introduced in the Ascendancy expansion consist in Necromancer, Slayer, Champion, Gladiator and Juggernaut, but more classes will be announced on their official site, so be sure to check them out.
Personally, I think that this is a bold move and possible an even larger expansion than The Awakening. Releasing so many classes at the same time, it’s like Path of Exile: Ascendancy will be a totally different game. While this is the second best action role-playing game I’ve ever played, after Diablo 3 I am really excited to see what else Grinding Gear Games has in store for us. An official release date of the Ascendancy expansion hasn’t been announced, but it will probably be released in the beginning of 2016.
