Project X Zone 2, the new role playing game featuring characters from Capcom, SEGA and Bandai Namco series, is getting closer to its Japanese release and more details on the game are coming in pretty often. Earlier today some brand new Project X Zone 2 screenshots have surfaced online, showcasing two features of the original Project X Zone that will come back in the new game launching next month in Japan.
The new Project X Zone 2 screenshots showcase the Crosspedia and Training mode. The Crosspedia is a rather useful feature which allows players to learn more about the game’s mechanics and terminology, characters’ origins and their stories and much more. Considering the game features a few characters that are not all that well known in the West, this feature is especially welcome. Training mode is yet another feature coming back from the previous game which allows players to train with any pair and solo unit of the game, change the training dummy weight and alter a variety of other settings. Several new Project X Zone 2 characters have been confirmed the past month. Among them was Ryo Hazuki from the Shenmue series, who has been accidentally revealed with a screenshot. Other characters confirmed recently for the game are Chrom and Lucina from Fire Emblem Awakening and Fiora from the Monolith Soft role playing game Xenoblade Chronicles. The inclusion of these characters is especially interesting as more characters from Nintendo properties might be included in the game.
Project X Zone 2 will be released next month in Japan exclusively on Nintendo 3DS. The North American and European releases will come sometime next year. We will let you know more about the game’s Western release date as soon as possible so stay tuned for all the latest news.
